Potential Hazards
Electrical hazard with the potential to cause harm through entanglement, pinch & squash.
PRE-Operation/Task:
· Ensure the equipment is in correct working order.
· A dust/fume extraction system should be attached and is turned on.
· Ensure that all body parts, and other objects are clear of the cutting area prior to turning on the laser
Operation/Task
Turn the laser on; by pulling out the emergency stop button on the front of the machine.
Using the Lightburn software on the attached computer, set up your cutting parameters and send the file to the laser cutter.
· Load the relevant material to cut. (Beware of FLAMMABLE materials while using the laser cutter. Certain materials are NOT allowed in the laser cutter.)
· Adjust the focal height of the laser using the guide stick provided.
· On the laser cutter control panel, load your file, adjust your origin point and frame your print.
· Close the lid and press start when ready to cut.
· NEVER LEAVE THE LASER CUTTER unattended when it is running.
· Never open the lid to the cutting area prior to the laser coming to a complete stop.
POST-Operation/Task:
· When finished cutting, move the laser away from the front area of the cutting bed.
· Remove your work.
· Turn the laser off by pressing the RED emergency stop button on the front.
· Turn off the extraction by pressing the green button on the wall.
