Mr. Subash Chandra from IIT Bombay completed his undergraduate research project work in which he investigated the cracking and fracture behaviour of modified asphalt binder using Double Edge Notch Test (DENT) test

Mr. J Ajayshankar from PSG College of Technology Coimbatore completed his undergraduate project, which involved examining the physical and chemical interaction between crumb rubber particle and asphalt binder and their corresponding effect on various performance related parameter of rubber-asphalt composite.

Current Status: Lecturer at the TU Delft, Netherlands.

Mr. Harsh Shah from SVNIT Surat completed his summer internship in which he investigated the interaction between nanoclay and a polymer modifier (SBS) in asphalt binder matrix, aiming at improving the phase separation related issue associated with Polymer Modified Binder (PMB).

Mr. Rahul Jain from IIT Patna completed his summer internship in which he investigated the effect of CNT on thermal cracking properties of asphalt binder.

Mentorship at IIT Kanpur

Mr. Debabrota Das joined IIT Kanpur (Specialization: Transportation Engineering) as a doctoral (Ph.D.) candidate in July, 2022. He obtained his Masters in Civil Engineering with specialization in transportation engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur in 2022. His research work is broadly focused towards  rubberized asphalt mixture.

Mr. Sawarmal Sharma joined IIT Kanpur (Specialization: Transportation Engineering) in July, 2022 as a Masters (M.Tech.) candidate. He  obtained his bachelor degree from  Jaipur Engineer College and Research Center. His research work  is broadly focused towards semi flexible pavement.

Mr. Shuja At Ali joined IIT Kanpur (Specialization: Transportation Engineering) in July, 2022 as a Masters (M.Tech.) candidate. He completed his bachelor degree from  Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata (HITK), West Bengal. His research work is broadly focused towards understanding the behaviour of asphalt pavement in low temperature regions.

Mr. Abhinav Kumar Shekhar joined IIT Kanpur (specialization: Transportation Engineering) as a Master (M.Tech) candidate in July, 2022 . He obtained his bachelor's degree from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) University, Bhopal. His research work is broadly focused towards Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA) for promoting sustainable road construction practices.
