Memories
Memories from our recent visit to Sri Lanka (Dec. 2023). We (Dr. Partha, Dr. Chunendra and myself from IIT Kanpur) visited the University of Jaffna for our joint workshop. This technical event was fully supported by the India Srilanka Foundation. We received exceptional hospitality from the host (Dr. Gowthman, Deans, faculty members, staff and students). The inauguration was graced by the presence of the Indian consulate general to Srilanka and the university vice-chancellor. We discussed various research opportunities in the fields of geotechnical, hydraulics and pavement engineering. Wonderful experience!!
Above pictures are from my recent visit to Hong Kong for AM3P conference (May 2023). It was excellent to meet again with Prof. Leng, Prof. Bhasin, my colleagues from PolyU HK, several other eminent professors and students from different universities, my other friends like Prof. Rameej from UIUC, my Indian colleagues (Prof. Saboo, Prof. Narayan, Prof. Gupta) and research scholars. Revisiting my postdoctoral office and around the university also refreshed my enriching experience at PolyU.
My doctoral and postgraduate research scholars (Deb, Suja, Sawarmal and Abhinav) at IIT Kanpur had a surprise visit to my office on Teacher's Day (2023). We missed Sawarmal from the frame due to his health issue on that day.
