There are two international airports serving Tokyo: Haneda (HND) and Narita (NRT). Both airports are possible, but Haneda is more convenient to campus than Narita.
The following are time tables of shuttle buses bound for Minami-Osawa Station (the train station nearest to Tokyo Metropolitan University).
Note: A reservation is necessary to take a bus to the airport on your return. (Contact the organizer if necessary). Embark at the same place you disembarked.
Once you arrive in Minami-Osawa Station:
It is also possible to travel by train from either airport to the Minami-Osawa Station or the Hashimoto Station. This is described in a separate section below. If you travel by train, Haneda is much more convenient than Narita.
Tokyo Metropolitan University lies in the western suburbs of Tokyo, and temperatures are normally lower than in the Tokyo city center. February temperatures in Hachioji typically range between -1.2 C and 9.9 C, or between 30 F and 50 F. Additional information can be found at climatestotravel.com/climate/japan/tokyo .
