Faculty at the Division of Behavioral Biology and Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

• Exploring the therapeutic potential of psychedelics for mental health disorders using a tranlastional approach.

Previous: 

Postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research, Johns Hopkins Medicine, with Dr. David Yaden.

• Led a Phase 1 clincial trial assessing the  phamacotherapeutic response of psychedelics in a patient population of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

• Established a translational preclinical wing of the center focused on identifying fundamental neural mechanisms underlying the therapeutic-like effects of psilocybin, with Dr. Elise Weerts at the Division of Behavioral Biology.

PhD (MSc. Integrated, 2016-2022) in Neuroscience with Prof. Vidita Vaidya at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (Mumbai).

• Studied mechanisms underlying the neurobiology of stress-related disorders, with focus on serotonergic systems.

Broad interests: 

Exploring the neurobiological basis of psychedelic action, hoping to bridge the gap between clinical and preclinical science in the psychedelic medicine space.
