Max is currently an assistant professor of analytical chemistry (2023-) at the Department of Chemistry, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. He is affiliated with the Electrochemistry and Optical Spectroscopy Center of Excellence and the Responsive Wearable Materials Center of Excellence. Max earned his B.Sc. from the university in 2014 (did undergraduate research with Dr. Orawon Chailapakul). He received the prestigious Anandamahidol Foundation Scholarship in the Science Division. Recently, he earned his Ph.D. (2020) from the Department of Chemistry, University of Virginia, where he worked with Dr. Jill Venton to expand the toolbox for real-time electrochemical detection of neurotransmitters. He has been appointed to lecturer (2020-2023) and currently assistant professor. His research interests are in investigating electrochemistry of advanced carbon materials and developing functional electrodes for electrochemical sensors with the integration of data analysis/machine learning. He is also interested in chemical education. In his free time, Max enjoys cooking and exploring new restaurants. He is also a big fan of Harry Potter.
**Max's hometown is Lampang, which is in the Northern Region of Thailand. He thinks Charlottesville is very similar to his hometown.
