Aug 2024: Our new review on the nanomaterials for optical sensors has just been accepted and published in TrAC Trends Anal Chem.
July 2024: Congratulations to Fon for the successful M.Sc. thesis defense. Fon will work in our research group for a while to finish the project on the electrochemical detection of HBV.
June 2024: Max has been promoted to Assistant Professor of Analytical Chemistry (officially from Oct 4, 2023).
May 2024: Big achievement in our lab, as THREE papers have been accepted in this month. One is our first electrochemistry research article on laser-induced graphene, published in Electrochimica Acta. The other two are a ML-inspired design of glucose electrochemical sensor (Anal Chim Acta) and a review in natural fiber engineering for chemical sensors (Int J Biol Macromol), both are in the collaboration with Prof. Nadnudda Rodthongkum.
May 2024: Congratulations to Parn presenting her Senior Project. Parn will continue in our lab to pursue the M.Sc. in chemistry (4+1 accelerated program). Also, congratulations Best for the final presentation in the Honors program sequence. He will continue the investigation in his Senior Project.
Apr 2024: Congratulations to Somchun for the successful M.Sc. thesis defense.
Jan 2024: Welcome Sound as a 2nd year honor program student.
Dec 2023: Congratulations for Earth and Best presenting their App Chem Proj and UG Research Proj I at Eurasia Conference. Also, congratulations to Supacha to land a lecturer position in our department. We will keep her as an honorary team member :D
Aug 2023: My second paper in chemical education is accepted to be published in the Journal of Chemical Education. This article describes the laboratory experiment for 2nd year quantitative chemical analysis on paper-based colorimetry that the analytical division had developed during the pandemic.
Aug 2023: Welcome Ploy (back) as a MSc student, Pop as a PhD student (C2F PhD Scholarship), and Parn as a senior project student in the 4+1 program. We are in full team now!
June 2023: Welcome Earth as a BSAC applied chemistry project student.
May 2023: Congratulations Ploy for successfully presenting her senior project and BSc graduation. She will continue to be a MSc student in our lab.
Jan 2023: Welcome Best to be honors program researcher.
Dec 2022: My first paper in chemical education is accepted to be published in the Journal of Chemical Education. This is an article summarizing Lab@Home that we held to substitute the in-class laboratory experiences for Gen Chem Lab students.
Nov 2022: MaxLab successfully received the first external research grant. This is a new scholar research grant from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation for us to work on the novel fabrication for electrochemical sensor.
Dec 2022: Somchun and Fon passed the proposal examination. Congratuations!!
Aug 2022: Welcome Ploy as an undergraduate senior project researcher.
June 2022: We receive a C2F fellowship from Chula to hire Supacha as my postdoctoral researcher :D
May 2022: Congratulations to Pearl for the successful Senior Project presentation and defense.
May 2022: Welcome my new potentiostat! (See above!) Thanks the funding from ConFlex team.
Oct 2021: Welcome the first batch of my student. Somchun and Namfon pursue Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, and Pearl is a senior undergraduate researcher.
Sep 2021: My first paper as a corresponding author is accepted to be published in Analyst. This is a review that seeks to discuss how chemometrics and machine learning can improve electrochemical sensors.
May 2021: A review article that Max co-authored is accepted to be published in Analytica Chimica Acta. We discuss the progress and future of non-invasive wearable chemical sensors.
Apr 2021: We are awarded with the New Faculty Grant from Chulalongkorn University!
Jan 2021: Max joined the Center of Excellence in Responsive Wearable Materials, chaired by Dr. Nadnudda Rodthongkum.
Dec 2020: We tested our Autolab potentiostat for the first time and got a nice "duck" shape. Thanks to Prof. Orawon Chailapakul for this gift :)
Aug 2020: Max is appointed as a lecturer (equivalent to assistant professor in the U.S.) at the Department of Chemistry, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. The official start date is November 1, 2020. I teaches Gen Chem Lab I for Scientists, which is fun, but we need to redesign it for social distancing purpose.
July 2020: Max ended his fantastic time in the U.S. and moved back to Thailand.
