The transition from Pennsylvania State Park to National Park occurred on the Bicentennial, July 4, 1976. It is the only National Park created on July 4th.
The Pennypacker family was a driving force in the preservation of Valley Forge and its restoration. Learn about their contributions in this exhibit included on all tours and located in the second floor gallery.
