In 2021 Poz led a Facebook Hackathon project to inspire recruiting leaders to invest in the metaverse. Poz led a team of 24 to develop the first-ever VR recruiting app prototype. This impressive effort not only won awards but also garnered support from engineering and product teams. The success of the prototype led to a working session with company leadership and ongoing product team resources, further solidifying the potential for investing in a VR recruiting experience.
The prototype video masterfully utilized a neuroscience-based framework to position the product idea in a relevant, personal, and emergent manner. By tapping into human brain responses, it engaged viewers emotionally and logically. It showcased how the VR recruiting experience could transform candidates' lives and revolutionize recruitment, creating excitement and curiosity among stakeholders.
After gaining leadership buy-in, we brought together essential stakeholders from product, brand, recruiting business, and learning & operations teams to collectively address crucial candidate challenges. Through collaboration, we identified six priority areas focusing on interview process efficiency, human-centric candidate experience, candidate empowerment, and enhancing brand vision and PR. Out of these six ideas, two were chosen for piloting, indicating their potential for significant impact and alignment with our shared goals. This approach ensured a comprehensive and targeted effort to improve our recruiting practices and deliver a more compelling candidate experience.
