About the Program:

• Direct Entry is a no-cost apprenticeship preparation program that equips participants with the skills needed to apply for NYS Registered Apprenticeship programs

• Graduates of approved programs receive direct opportunities to interview with apprenticeship sponsors

• Programs are designed to support women, minorities, veterans, and individuals with disabilities

What You’ll Learn:

• Basic workplace literacy, math, and life skills

• Job search techniques, resume prep, and time management

• Industry overview, teamwork, and independent work readiness

• High School Equivalency Diploma assistance if needed

Eligibility & Requirements:

• Must meet minimum qualifications set by the NYS Registered Apprenticeship sponsor

• Programs must have formal partnerships with NYS Registered Apprenticeship programs

• Candidates should be ready for employment and committed to completing training
