Direct Entry is a no-cost apprenticeship preparation program that equips participants with the skills needed to apply for NYS Registered Apprenticeship programs
Graduates of approved programs receive direct opportunities to interview with apprenticeship sponsors
Programs are designed to support women, minorities, veterans, and individuals with disabilities
What You’ll Learn:
Basic workplace literacy, math, and life skills
Job search techniques, resume prep, and time management
Industry overview, teamwork, and independent work readiness
High School Equivalency Diploma assistance if needed
Eligibility & Requirements:
Must meet minimum qualifications set by the NYS Registered Apprenticeship sponsor
Programs must have formal partnerships with NYS Registered Apprenticeship programs
Candidates should be ready for employment and committed to completing training
