Key Accountabilities

Our Fleet Department has openings for experienced automotive and/or equipment mechanics with a strong knowledge of the following automotive skills:

Perform diagnostic, repair, and preventative maintenance on gasoline / diesel / CNG or other alternative fueled company fleet vehicles including cars, trucks, construction equipment, including, auxiliary components in accordance with manufacturer s specifications.

Able to perform all type repairs to a multitude of motor operated vehicles and equipment, such as cars, light duty trucks, medium duty trucks, aerial trucks, man lifting trucks, digger derrick trucks and various of tracked or wheeled earth moving and digging equipment.

Conduct New York State Motor vehicle inspections such as: emissions, safety, heavy duty and NYVIP inspections.

Knowledgeable in the safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists and jacking equipment.

Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs.

Adhere to manufacturers warranty policies and procedures.

Shall be consistently capable of independently analyzing and safely resoling problems related to overall fleet maintenance.

Qualifications

 Candidates must have a high school degree or GED plus automotive vocational training or equivalent.

Minimum of five years experience as a maintenance technician, ASE certified is a plus.

Must have the ability to diagnose and correct all vehicle systems, including but not limited to: diesel, fuel injection, electronic ignition, power hydraulic systems, ABC, CNG, OBDII, electronic engine controls, etc.

Candidates must be able to obtain a commercial driver's license

Must be capable of obtaining tank, hazardous material and tow truck endorsement within 180 days.

Ability to satisfactorily perform record keeping, electronic or hand written related to fleet maintenance.

Must be physically capable of working areas above, below, in and around vehicles and safely operate associated machinery and tools, including but not limited to power tools, wheel balancer, brake lather, vehicles, hoisting equipment, several power operated wheeled and tracked vehicles and equipment.

The Hybrid Field Technician supports both the beginning and end of the residential solar installation pipeline by performing site assessments prior to installation, inspections post-install, and other lone worker and team field work as needed for the business. The Role

As Weatherization Crew Lead, you will direct a 3-person crew through residential weatherization scopes

of work generated by our energy auditors. Every job is different — you will read the audit report, plan the

day, lead your crew through the work, and ensure everything meets NYSERDA and BPI standards before

you leave the site. You are the person who makes the job go correctly and represents Always On Green

Home in the homeowner’s home.

What You’ll Do

• Lead a 4-man crew through full weatherization scopes: attic insulation, wall insulation (dense

pack), basement/crawlspace air sealing, and related measures

• Read and execute against NYSERDA energy audit reports and scope of work documents

• Operate dense pack cellulose and blown-in insulation equipment

• Perform air sealing using spray foam, caulk, weatherstripping, and rigid materials

• Conduct pre- and post-job blower door tests to verify air sealing performance

• Perform combustion safety checks including CO testing and worst-case depressurization tests

• Ensure full ACP-5 lead paint compliance protocol on pre-1978 homes

• Maintain accurate job documentation: photos, scope completion checklists, NYSERDA paperwork

• Communicate job status, material needs, and any site issues to management daily

• Train and develop your installer and helper over time

What We’re Looking For

Required

• 3+ years of residential weatherization or insulation installation experience

• Hands-on experience with dense pack cellulose, blown-in insulation, and air sealing

• Familiarity with NYSERDA Empower+ program requirements and documentation

• Blower door testing experience (pre and post)

• Combustion safety testing knowledge (CO, CAZ, spillage)

• ACP-5 lead paint compliance experience on occupied homes

• Valid driver’s license with clean record

• Physically capable of working in attics, crawlspaces, and confined spaces

• Strong communication with homeowners and management

The Lead Installer position is a contributing member of a solar installation construction crew.  The Lead Installer is responsible to work as a team to complete residential solar installation projects. This position will have the additional responsibility of guiding and coordinating fellow installers on a daily basis.
