Power of Vision Scholarship

Scholarship nominations must be received by May 1st, 2021. Nominations can be sent to Apple Valley Vision’s office, faxed, or emailed to address listed on the application. The Apple Valley Vision staff will then review the applications, and pick the applicants to receive these scholarships. We would like to surprise students by awarding the scholarship at the annual Student Awards Assembly.

History

Dr. Brian Rowley, Optometrist at Apple Valley Vision in Payson, UT started The Power of Vision Scholarship in 2016.

Purpose of Scholarship: Recognizing the diversity of strengths and passions that drive people to accomplish great things; Apple Valley Vision looks to award students whose visions represent a wide range of interest – from art to technology, science to sports and everything in between. In addition to academics, leadership in community service and extracurricular activities, nominee’s personal stories of how they are moving toward their life goals will also be considered. The “POWER OF VISION” scholarship program will grant 3 $500.00 scholarships to graduating seniors at Payson and Salem Hills High Schools who demonstrate a clear and unique vision, strong ambition and determination to bring their dreams to life.

Funding for the Scholarship

Funds for this scholarship were initially provided solely by Apple Valley Vision. However thanks to the tremendous success from community sponsors and the Golden Onion Days Power of Vision 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament, we are excited to increase the number of scholarships awarded. We thank all of you who have contributed to this success!
