XLP USE is a cross-linked polyethylene insulated single conductor stranded or solid bare copper wire. It is similar to XHHW building wire except this product is rated for direct burial applications. This product is also referred to as RHH/RHW meaning it meets the UL standard 854 for service entrance cable.
Copper 6AWG is rated to carry 100 amps (https://www.powerstream.com/Wire_Size.htm). 100 amps at nominal 24v is 2400w.
"100A / 24V with a 2-3Kw Inverter should be using 2/0 wire and something "fine" like high grade Welding Wire which is extremely flexible, strong, chemical & wear resistant." (source: diysolarforum.com)
