Learning Objectives of the Game:

1. Learn about American History with the EPIC characters lesser-known in history.

2. Understand why people chose to be a Tory or a Whig by building allies from either side.

3. Understand how certain events in history affected types of people.

4. Understand how items in history affect how you interact with people in war.



How the game accomplishes those Learning Objectives:

1. Learn about American History with the EPIC characters lesser-known in history. You play as an EPIC character such as Margaret Shippen and read about their traits and experience the events in history from their perspective.

2. There were advantages and disadvantages to taking sides during the revolution. You will see based on your hand of allies how power is played out among the people of the different sides.

3. While playing you reveal the events in history and the effects of that event are played for you or against you depending on if you are a freeman, a revolutionary, a powerhouse, or wildcard.

4. Allied Characters look for items to expand their power in war, players learn about the economy of the time and how items like cotton may actually reveal the slave trade too.
