Our Goal Statement:
Goal Statement: We will increase the availability of basic needs to those living in poverty to provide a more sustainable and secure lifestyle. By creating brochures containing information on how to obtain food, water, housing, and clothing, updating the school dress code, encouraging donations, and creating care kits we will mitigate the impacts of COVID by helping those living in poverty.
What You Can Do To Help:
Donate to food and clothes drives, and bring care kits (which contain a toothbrush, toothpaste, water bottles, first aid kits, hand sanitizer, snacks, etc.) with you as you drive around town and give it to anyone you see asking for food or water.
Take Action on the Personal/ Individual Level
I can donate to local food and clothing drives, volunteer at non-profits, and donate money. I can give poor people little bags with water, food, toothbrush, and toothpaste. I could get a little free pantry.
Take Action on the local, state, & National level
I can write letters to my state leaders discussing issues, organize food and clothing drives, hold marches and protests, and vote. You could run for office for city counsil and make a change from there.

You could open up your house to the poor. You could start a non-profit or a weekend food/clothing drive. You could pass out brochures or created a new brochure as new non-profit organizations are created in the Waco community.
