I am a doctoral researcher at University of Turku, Finland. I study jets launched by supermassive black holes in the centers of distant galaxies. I specifically focus on those jets which point at us, called blazars. They are among the most extreme objects in the known universe and are often brighter than all of the hundreds of billions of stars in their galaxy combined.
I am also the President of the Finnish Astronomical Society.
