Basic Features
These are currently included in the system, though login might be required.
Readers:
View and discover new books.
Search by Author or Book Title.
View core information about a book at a glance.
Leave a review.
Save to a Library for later reading.
Indicate non-interest in a book.
Sort Discoverable Books by Genre.
Exclude Genres from search.
Authors:
Must have an Author Profile to post Books.*
Must submit Books for review before they appear.**
Have a dedicated Author Page using a static template for consistentcy, with a unique URL.
Book Detail Pages that are dedicated to your book, with a unique URL, with no other books mentioned.
Some Analytics (right now it's # of Books, # Approved, # Pending, and Views).
Ability to edit Book Detail Pages, including Genres, without Admin review.***
* Authors will go through a review before they are able to access the Book Submission form. This will help ensure that Authors are not bots and following rules of the system (such as being Self Published).
** At least the first few Book submissions by an Author will be reviewed. It's nothing against anyone, it's a way to ensure that it's not spam that made it past the Author review.
*** While changes can be made without Admin review, please note that we have logs and will know what was changed. Just a matter of if we ever read them :D. Not trying to be "big brother" but if you submit a story about a bunny hosting a tea party where all ends well, and then change it to be about a bunny that goes on a killing spree, you're gonna run into issues. Same if you're bunny killing spree book goes from "Horror" to "YA". Yeah... no. Not cool.

This includes bugs.
Readers:
When marking a Book as Not Interested, it still shows on Discover.
When viewing a Book, the back button might not work? (Might be am Admin only issue).
Share options for Books don't do anything. Debating keeping or deleting option.
There's a giant picture of a recomended book that needs removed. Not sure what determines why it's there; seems bias.
View without an account.
Authors:
Analytic options need expanded, to include per book information.
On the Author Page, the Book menu options don't do anything.
Authors should be able to change the color of the hero background instead of it always being grey.
Author Application needs a revamp.
Book Submission needs some love.
