For as long as I can remember I have loved to create art. It never mattered to me whether or not it was technically perfect, the best in show, or even if it was seen by anyone. All that mattered to me was that I was creating. I was 16 when I discovered the world of ceramics, and needless to say, I quickly fell in love with it. I had found an art form that allowed me to channel my energy, express my emotions, and share beauty with the world. In the years since then I have grown in my love for ceramics. If I am not physically in a ceramics studio, I am likely to be found thinking about, sketching, looking at, or talking about pottery. In December of 2021 I received my bachelors of arts from Truman State University with a major in psychology and minor in studio art. For the year of 2022 I am an intern for Mark Goertzen in his studio in Goshen Indiana. I do not yet know where the world of clay will take me, but it is my hope that through this website I can share my journey with everyone.
