Potly ("the app") is a plant watering tracker developed for personal use. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.

WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT

Potly does not require an account or sign-up. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal contact information. We do not operate any servers that store your plant data — there is no cloud sync or backend.

INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

All information you enter into Potly — plant names, species, photos, watering schedules, watering history, and room/location labels — is stored locally on your device only, using standard on-device app storage. This data is not transmitted to us or to any third party, and it is deleted automatically if you uninstall the app.

CAMERA AND PHOTO LIBRARY

If you choose to add a photo of a plant, Potly requests access to your device's camera or photo library. Photos you select are stored locally on your device as part of your plant's record. Potly does not upload these photos anywhere unless you explicitly choose to share a growth photo using your device's own share feature (for example, sharing to Messages or Instagram) — in that case, the data goes only to the destination you pick, the same as sharing any other photo from your phone.

NOTIFICATIONS

Potly schedules local reminder notifications on your device (for example, when a plant needs watering). These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device and do not involve any external notification server.

ADVERTISING

Potly is free to use and supported by banner ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as an advertising ID) and other technical information to serve and measure ads, and — where you have granted permission — to personalize ads based on your activity across apps. On iOS, Potly will ask for App Tracking Transparency permission before any such tracking occurs, and you can decline this while still using the app normally. You can reset or limit ad tracking at any time in your device's system settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking; Android: Settings > Google > Ads).

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Potly is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If this policy changes, an updated version will be posted at this same location with a revised "Last updated" date.
