Sarah Ifft Decker is Assistant Professor of History at Rhodes College. She is a social historian of the medieval Mediterranean, with a particular interest in intersections between gender and religious identity. Dr. Ifft Decker is the author of The Fruit of Her Hands: Jewish and Christian Women’s Work in Medieval Catalan Cities, a scholarly monograph, and of Jewish Women in the Medieval World, 500-1500 CE, a survey and sourcebook. She has also published articles on topics including marriage, divorce, credit, and conversion. Her research interests also include how modern people think about and represent the medieval past in popular culture, which she discusses on her podcast Media-eval: A Medieval Pop Culture Podcast.
