Emir O. Filipović is Associate Professor of Medieval History at the University of Sarajevo and the head of the University’s History Department. He has authored, edited and co-edited several books on the history of Bosnia in the later Middle Ages, with his latest monograph treating the relations between the Bosnian Kingdom and the Ottoman Empire (Sarajevo, 2019). His forthcoming publications include books on chivalry in medieval Bosnia (Zagreb, 2022) and the Ottoman conquest of the Balkans (Vienna, 2022). He is also preparing a co-edited Handbook on the Later Crusades which will be published by De Gruyter in Berlin (2024).
