Nicola Estrafallaces has recently completed a PhD in medieval literature at the University of Glasgow, where he was supported by a scholarship from the Scottish Graduate School for Arts and Humanities (AHRC). For his doctoral research, he studied the medieval English reception of Catherine of Siena, focussing on the transmission of her texts across medieval Europe and their translations into Middle English for women readers. More broadly, his research interests include Middle English literature, Anglo-Italian literary relations, manuscript studies and book history, medieval material and visual culture. Nicola is also part of the editorial team of the Compendium Auctorum Latinorum Medii Aevi (C.A.L.M.A), a bibliography of medieval and humanistic Latin authors published by Società Internazionale per lo Studio del Medioevo Latino (SISMEL).
