These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the PostHunt mobile application (“PostHunt”, the “app”, “we”, “our” or “us”). By downloading, accessing or using PostHunt, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the app.
PostHunt is a UK address lookup application designed to help users search for and view address information.
Some features may require an internet connection, an account or access to third-party services. The availability of individual features may depend on your device, operating system, app version, location or account status.
Some PostHunt features may require you to sign in using an available authentication provider, such as Google or Apple, depending on the sign-in options supported by your version of the app.
You are responsible for:
maintaining the security of your device and sign-in account;
providing accurate information to your authentication provider;
preventing unauthorised access to the app through your device;
notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
You may delete your PostHunt account using the account deletion option available in the app or by following the instructions provided on our account and data deletion page.
Deleting your PostHunt account may permanently remove account-related information. Information that is not linked to your account, or that must be retained for legal, security or operational reasons, may not be removed immediately.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use PostHunt for lawful personal or business purposes.
This licence does not transfer ownership of the app or any part of it to you.
PostHunt, including its software, design, branding, logos, visual elements, text, original functionality, organisation and other content, is owned by us or used under an appropriate licence and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Unless permitted by law or expressly authorised by us in writing, you must not:
copy, reproduce, distribute or republish the app or any substantial part of it;
modify, adapt, translate or create derivative products based on the app;
reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the app’s source code;
remove or alter copyright, trademark or ownership notices;
sell, rent, sublicense or commercially redistribute the app;
reproduce PostHunt’s branding, interface or original features in a misleading or unauthorised manner;
use automated systems to extract, collect or reproduce substantial amounts of app content or data.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights that cannot legally be restricted.
PostHunt is intended to assist with address searches. Search results, detected postcodes, suggested addresses and other information may be supplied by third-party providers or generated from information entered, scanned or selected by the user.
Although we aim to provide useful and accurate results, we cannot guarantee that every postcode, address, suggestion or search result will always be complete, current or error-free.
You are responsible for checking the selected address before using it for navigation, delivery, collection, correspondence or any other important purpose. PostHunt should not be treated as the sole source of information where an incorrect address could cause loss, delay or harm.
You must use PostHunt only for lawful purposes.
You must not:
use the app for fraud, harassment or other unlawful activity;
attempt to gain unauthorised access to the app, its services or another user’s account;
interfere with the security, operation or availability of the app;
bypass access restrictions, usage limits or security controls;
introduce malware or harmful code;
use automated requests in a way that creates an unreasonable load on the app or its service providers;
use the app or its data in a way that violates the rights of another person or organisation.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the app, our service providers or our legal rights.
PostHunt may rely on third-party services for functions such as authentication, address information, maps, cloud services and app distribution.
These services are operated independently and may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their availability, content or independent decisions.
A failure or interruption affecting a third-party service may temporarily limit some PostHunt features.
Our processing of personal data is explained in the PostHunt Privacy Policy. By using the app, you acknowledge that information may be processed as described in that policy.
The Privacy Policy forms a separate document and should be read together with these Terms.
We may update PostHunt to improve functionality, security, compatibility or reliability.
An update may change, add or remove features. In some cases, you may need to install a newer version to continue using the app safely or to maintain compatibility with our services.
We do not guarantee that PostHunt will always be available without interruption or that every feature will remain available permanently. We may temporarily suspend all or part of the app for maintenance, security, technical or legal reasons.
You may stop using PostHunt at any time and may delete the app from your device.
We may suspend or terminate access if:
you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms;
your use creates a security, legal or operational risk;
continued access would violate applicable law or third-party requirements;
the relevant service or feature is discontinued.
Where reasonably possible and legally appropriate, we will seek to act proportionately.
PostHunt is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or that every result will always be accurate, complete or current.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses resulting from:
reliance on an incorrect or incomplete address result;
a user’s failure to verify an address;
interruption or failure of a third-party service;
loss of access caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control;
misuse of the app or use contrary to these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer rights available to you under applicable law.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to PostHunt, applicable law, security requirements or third-party services.
When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date. If a change is significant, we may provide additional notice where reasonably appropriate.
Your continued use of PostHunt after updated Terms take effect means that you agree to the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the app.
If you download PostHunt through the Apple App Store or Google Play, your use of the app may also be subject to the applicable store’s terms and rules.
If these Terms conflict with mandatory requirements imposed by the relevant app store, those mandatory requirements will apply to the extent of the conflict.
Apple and Google are not responsible for providing support for PostHunt unless required by their applicable terms or by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you may also have the benefit of mandatory protections and the right to bring proceedings in the courts available under the laws of the country in which you live.
