Role: Graphic Designer
Tools: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
Type: Skills Assessment / Test Brief
Overview:
I completed a design test where I had to create in-store promotional visuals for Colgate and Cappy, following brand guidelines and adapting to various retail formats.
What I did:
Created 1 Header A3, 1 Wobbler and 1 shelf divider.
Followed the brand manuals for both Colgate and Cappy to ensure consistency in colors, typography, and tone.
Adapted the designs for different store placements.
Focused on clarity, visibility, and strong call-to-action, which are essential for retail impact.
Purpose:
This was part of a job application test to evaluate design skill, brand understanding, and the ability to work with FMCG promotional materials.
I contributed to a small project with Crearium, a local business specializing in plant-based decorative arrangements. I helped design banners, social media posts, and flyers using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, aligning visuals with their brand style to support their marketing efforts.
While working at BoonBoon, I developed packaging designs specifically targeted at children. My work focused on creating colorful, engaging, and playful designs that appeal to a young audience, helping to enhance the brand’s visibility and attract families.
