My art practice involves exploring value: what do we value & why? Why are some voices/themes more valued than others? As often as possible, my creative medium of choice is garbage. I use transformative processes to give new meaning to discarded materials. I have a particular fondness for paperboard packaging which has been utilized in making some of the puppets for ehv t.v.
GROW & REGROW is a Very short film exploring growth and change over time. Although though one withers away, another will grow anew. A second life valued just as much as the first.
This message is also reflected in the chosen materials for creating this project. Utilizing local free printed media, discarded packaging, and creating with objects found on the ground explores what can become art and what is deserving of a new life.
