The game portrays an echo of a life, which relives its choices and sacrifices in a reflective journey.
These images from Echo show the menu screen, in-game moments, and the end screen. It was developed for the Integrated Project V course as part of the Game Design program at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPEL). The assignment was structured as a mini game jam, with each game being developed in one month.
The project's focus was to create a narrative that addressed the assigned theme of 'sacrifice.' This theme was approached in the game in a reflective and subjective manner, where the sacrifices made are found in the choices made throughout life.
My role on this project was UI Designer. I worked mainly on the icons and buttons, but I also created some animations and handled sound curation. The team also included a programmer and an artist.
Overall, the game successfully executed the project's concept, clearly addressing the theme of sacrifice. Despite the one-month development time, the final result met all the necessary requirements.
