The LED driver board to control ball/strikes/outs was mirrored on the wiring diagram. It has been corrected in the prototype, but the wiring diagram needs to be revised.

The Raspberry PI and Arduino require different voltages for communications.

(3.3V and 5V respectively)

Solution was found using a voltage divider circuit to ensure that the Arduino does not send greater than 3.3 V to the Raspberry Pi.

There is a small amount of noise during audio playback from the speakers. Testing needs to be done to locate the cause.

A generic smart phone without a SIM card needs to be sourced so that the final scoreboard can have wireless control without the scorekeeper requiring their own smart device.

Upon delivery of the final enclosure Justin V. discovered that 1 flat bar, and 12 tapping pads were missing. Replacement parts need to be manufactured.

Testing procedures and instructions to operate the scoreboard need to be documented.

The control module layout has been changed. The mechanical drawings for the control module needs to be updated to reflect the changes. The access to the control module needs to be reviewed as well to determine how to install the door/flap.

The webpage with wireless controls for the Raspberry Pi needs to be created then tested as the default splash page.

The speaker's microphone volume controls are not accessible. A microphone with built-in volume control will need to be sourced.

The Raspberry Pi needs to be configured to bring up a default webpage when powered on.

The scoreboard speakers may not be able to play music while the microphone is in use. Once the Bluetooth module is connected to the speakers we will test the sound system with a microphone.

The increment and decrement push buttons connected to the Arduino were causing low voltage to the Arduino when pressed, shutting off the LED segment displays that the Arduino was controlling.

The speakers need to be re-wired to run off the scoreboard 12V supply, as well as linking the two speakers to be controlled by the Bluetooth module. Thomas Walden will wire the speakers to the 12V supply and Justin Vaughan will connect them to the Bluetooth module.

The Raspberry Pi needs to be configured to host a website to connect to for controlling the scoreboard wirelessly. Justin Roozen will continue testing the Pi and create the webpage.

James Schmelzer will be wiring the Arduino micro-controller from the control box to the LED control boards when we meet next to complete the prototype assembly.

There is an issue fitting the power supply cord through a cable gland to plug the scoreboard into an 120Vac outlet.

• Find a larger cable gland.
• Change 10 amp 12 Volt power supply out for a smaller model and cord.

There is an issue communicating between Arduino UNO and Raspberry Pi zero.

• Justin R. is researching the communication protocol and is working on an solution.

PCB header input/output connectors took 46 days to ship.

• Justin V. expressed concern regarding the shipping arrival date and received a full refund of approximately $10.00. However, the parts ordered arrived the following night.

There is an issue fitting auxiliary and charging cord thought to speaker control plate.

• Solved by Justin V : An additional cable gland will be needed to complete these connectors.
• Cable glad currently in project stock.

There is an issue troubleshooting a PCB drive board as the output seems to be reversed.

• Thomas W. is troubleshooting the board in question from the date discovered.
• Troubleshooting will determine any plausible soldering or wiring issue. If no issues are found, the TPIC microchip may have been damaged in handling.
• Extra project stock on microchips may be used.

The pegboard LED mounting material needs to be changed to a material that will not decay.

• Justin V. will choose a metal alternative.

Awaiting response from Advantage Machine and Tooling to provide an update status on the manufactured scoreboard.

• Justin V. has sent follow-up e-mails and will call August 28th, 2018.

Due to design revision, a new manufacturer is needed to build the command center drawing.

• Justin V. has asked Fanshawe college to manufacture the command center.

If LED displays are set to -1 or 100, the digits do not roll over to 99 or 0 respectively. The displays shows symbols that are not numbers.

• James S. will be debugging the code to ensure the data being sent to the LED driver boards are valid hexadecimal values.
