I have always been driven by curiosity and a genuine love for learning. Science has been a constant thread throughout my journey. In school, my fascination with both numbers and the nature led me to choose Biology and Mathematics. It eventually guided me toward Biotechnology—a field that captivated me with its unique blend of science, technology, and real-world applications. This curiosity procured me Master’s degree in Biotechnology.
Along the way, my ability for making complex scientific concepts into simple and clear ones led me to tutor Biology and Mathematics. At the same time, I searched for a suitable research project and the opportunity to explore questions beyond the classroom.
My research journey began with seaweed biotechnology and macroalgal biorefinery, where I investigated seaweed cultivation, biochemical composition, and the potential of macroalgal biomass for value-added applications. It was an incredibly formative experience. I learned how to conduct systematic literature searches using scholarly databases, design and execute experiments, generate and manage datasets, perform statistical analyses, interpret results, and communicate scientific findings effectively. Additionally, I also collaborated with other researchers in various projects related to seaweed. The conclusion of this work was six publications in international peer-reviewed journals—a milestone that remains one of the highlights of my research career.
I then moved from the laboratory into the practical world of bioremediation and project management. Working on water-treatment and mushroom-cultivation projects taught me how scientific knowledge translates into real-world outcomes. I began to view research through a broader lens, where scientific effectiveness must be balanced with cost, efficiency, resources, scalability, and business objectives. This experience strengthened both my problem-solving abilities and my understanding of the connection between research and practical impact.
Later, I chose freelancing to accommodate an important family responsibility. Moving into an entirely different professional environment challenged me in new ways. I learned not only to write and communicate effectively, but also to understand client requirements, present my capabilities, manage independent projects, meet deadlines, collaborate remotely, and let the quality of my work build trust. This chapter expanded my perspective beyond scientific research and strengthened my adaptability, communication, and self-management skills.
Today, I see my journey not as a series of unrelated roles, but as a collection of experiences that have shaped how I think and work. Science gave me curiosity, research taught me how to investigate, data taught me how to find meaning in evidence, project work taught me to think about impact, and freelancing taught me adaptability.
As I move into the next chapter of my career, I am continuing to build my skills in data analytics, digital tools, AI-enabled technologies, and scientific communication. I am now looking for an opportunity where I can bring together my background in science, research, data, and communication to solve meaningful problems, continue learning, and create measurable value.
