PhD, Indian Institute of Remote Sensing
Postdoctoral Fellow, University of California, Davis
I am a motivated researcher with nine years of experience in interdisciplinary fields spanning from forest ecology, geospatial & ecological process modelling, impact assessment, Land Use & Land Cover Change (LULCC) mapping to soil moisture retrieval using multi-sensor satellite data. I received my PhD in forestry (Forest ecology and environment) from Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) & Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehradun India, in 2019. My research interests include remote sensing for forestry applications, modelling biological systems, applications of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) for crop classification, above ground biomass (AGB) estimation, soil moisture retrieval and vegetation biophysical parameter estimation. I am also interested in geospatial modeling of the impact on the terrestrial ecosystems mainly the structure and functioning (biodiversity, nutrient dynamics) as a result of the climate forcing and anthropogenic influences.
