Ethylene Vinyl Acetate - EVA Foam

Size: 2000 X 1000 X 100mm or 2450 X 1250 X 100mm Variety of Colors and Densities

EVA Foam is a firm closed-cell foam with a softer, more rubbery feel than our polyethylene (cross-poly) offering. Its surface squishes down when you press your fingers into it, quickly bouncing right back into place. The firm structure and UV resistance of EVA foam makes it a great material for outdoor applications, and it is also popular for use as a Cosplay material. EVA sheets are also available in medium firmness, suitable for most applications, and in a hard high density version for case insert and industrial and specialty foam applications.

EVA Sheets are similar in most properties to Polyethylene (PE) Sheets. They have superior elasticity to Polyethylene Sheets, and consequently are also a little more expensive than their PE equivalents. In most other characteristics the products are very similar - though EVA is less resistant to grease and solvents than is PE, but is more resistant to UV radiation. EVA has good clarity and gloss (similar to IXPE) with little or no odour.

Characteristics of Polyethylene Foam

  • Closed cell structure

  • Water and moisture-intrusion, to fungi, bacteria, and to air

  • High thermal resistance

  • Light in weight, flexible and compressible

  • Good recovery after long-term compression

EVA foam products are used in domestic and industrial applications for impact absorption and protection, vibration dampening, load deflection, seals and gaskets, thermal and sound insulation, and flotation.

Due to its excellent elasticity and rebound after compression, EVA blocks and sheets are the products of choice to provide the rebound under sprung floors in gymnasiums, fitness, and dance studios. EVA Sheet is also widely used in spa covers, camping mats, yoga blocks, boat fenders and waterproof seating.
