POLTEXT 2020

The Fourth International and Interdisciplinary Conference on Quantitative Analysis of Textual Data (POLTEXT) will be held in Innsbruck, Austria, on 15-16 May 2020. With POLTEXT 2020, we aim to foster discussions on methodologies that advance quantitative text analysis from bag of words to string of words by integrating the contextual information, and on applications of these methods in substantive social science research.

POLTEXT 2020 will be organized by Lisa Lechner and Kohei Watanabe of the University of Innsbruck's Political Science Department as well as Miklós Sebők from the Centre for Social Sciences at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. We will circulate call for papers in academic mailing lists in relevant fields and our newsletter in a few weeks, soon after POLTEXT 2019.

The conference is returning to Europe in 2020, but we are eager to further develop the global network of participants, especially, young scholars, through international knowledge exchange programs. If you are interested in applying for bilateral grants with Austria, please write to us.
