All articles submitted for publication in the «Polish Studies of Kyiv” undergo an open review procedure with the involvement of specialists in the field to which the article relates.
The review is carried out according to standard forms, in which the article is evaluated on a number of parameters, and if necessary, comments are added on some of these parameters.
The reviewer adheres to the review ethics formulated in the Code of Ethical Principles of Reviewers of the СOPE (Committee of Publishing Ethics), the main principles of which are:
- confidentiality - the reviewer cannot copy, publish, transmit to non-members of the editorial board of the collection, the manuscript of the article under review;
- qualification adequacy - selection of reviewers takes place on the basis of their professional training and industry specialization;
- cooperation - the main goal of the reviewer is to improve the article and interact with the author for publication in the collection of the most professional and high-quality materials;
- objectivity - the reviewer applies the arguments of his or her assessments and cannot have a bias caused by a conflict of interest, personal position on the issue or other factors.
- The author gets acquainted with the finished review and has the opportunity to make changes to the article in accordance with the recommendations of the reviewer.
Edits are discussed with the reviewer and can be refuted, if the author provides sufficient reasoning for this.
