As our name suggests, we believe in policy for the people, knowing full well that a majority of people are not adequately represented in policy and that policy has historically disenfranchised and marginalized the poor, working class, BIPOC, queer, trans, feminine, differently abled, immigrant, and other minorities. We believe that upholding and pursuing the status quo, or often even incremental change, is an acceptance of this marginalization, this violence. We strive for a different kind of policy that identifies and seeks to change structural inequalities and injustice. This organization serves as a place to learn, teach, and find refuge.
