"Navigating Passion. Directing Impact."
The Polaris Outreach Initiative (POI) is a student-led network dedicated to developing leadership, creativity, and global awareness through educational outreach and community service. Inspired by Polaris—the North Star that guides travelers—the club empowers high school students to channel their academic interests and future majors into real-world solutions for underserved youth.
By combining major-linked content creation, fundraising campaigns, multi-campus chapter expansion, and on-site volunteer missions, POI builds meaningful cultural connections and ensures accessible education for youth in Tondo, Manila, Philippines, and beyond.
At the heart of POI's global mission is a deep personal connection to Tondo, Manila—a community formed in the 1950s around a massive landfill and widely recognized as one of the world's largest urban slum regions.
POI’s local base camp and partner institution is a Christian school established in Tondo, providing a safe haven, educational foundation, and spiritual support for local youth. This foundation enables POI to deploy resources, distribute learning tools, and run sustainable programs with strong local trust and long-term continuity.

Members apply their future academic disciplines (STEM, Bio, Arts, Literature, Business, Social Sciences) to design custom educational materials, Korean language guides, literature, and creative artworks for local students.
POI aims to establish identical, student-led sister chapters across 2 to 3 partner high schools (starting with the Alpha Chapter at Seoul Academy) to unify youth efforts and scale regional impact.
POI collaborates with Manila-based, Korean-inspired enterprises—such as Bangs Prime Salon and Bangs Skin Prime—to deploy their expert doctors and staff for free haircuts and medical consultations at our partner Christian school in Tondo, uniting shared cultural heritage with comprehensive community support.
POI organizes and trains dedicated student crews to travel directly to Tondo, conducting interactive workshops, distributing ed-tech devices (pre-loaded iPads with Korean learning tools), and bonding with the local community.
POI hosts fundraising campaigns to design, publish, and distribute specialized Korean literacy textbooks, expanding educational opportunities for Filipino youth interested in Korean language and culture.
