A QR code exists for all of the Pokemon in the Alolan Pokedex, save for legendaries and a few others. Our list has the Pokedex split into three, and you can find the QR code for the Pokemon you are looking for in the links below.

Players will unlock QR code patterns of Pokemon they catch, allowing them to share these QR codes with others. Scanning a QR code pattern unlocked by another player registers this Pokemon in your Pokedex and shows its location in the game. Take note that you still have to capture the Pokemon yourself to get the full Pokedex entry!

Pokmon Sun and Moon introduced a brand new feature: QR codes. There are actually two kinds of codes, and they do not work the same way. The Pokdex QR codes allows you to automatically mark a Pokmon as seen in your Pokdex. The distribution QR codes allow you to immediately get a Pokmon, but can only be used after reaching a certain point in the game and are region-locked.

As mentioned above, those allow you to immediately get a Pokmon (generally via a special event in-game), instead of simply adding it to your Pokdex. The QR codes are region-locked, so you can only use those from your region!

Just got curious about this. Since I wanted to buy an extra copy of um, I decided to check some online shop. When I checked the picture of the cartridge, it has something similar to a serial code that goes 'LNA-CTR-A2BE-USA' and it's the same as the one I currently have. This code is on the cartridge itself and not the box, right below the part that says the game's title. What is this code anyway?

Based on what I found, The USA part is the region of the world the game was distributed in for selling. There is also JPN for Japan, EUR for Europe and AUS for Australia, etc.

The LN then stands for the type of game, in this case a cartridge. This could be a demo, game boxes, etc.

Now, the A is stands for the game. It Could also be a Z for a demo

CTR is apparently the 3ds codename Horizon.

Now, the A in AB2E stands for how the game was obtainable, in this case being retail. It could also be J for E-shop things among other things.

The 2B is just a game code. It can be any combination of letters and numbers, but the same for any one game. So every Ultra Moon cartridge will have 2B.

Then E is for English.

Hope this helps!

Pokmon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon QR codes are by far the easiest way to fill out the "seen" aspect of your Alolan Pokdex, granting you the ability to simply scan a code - we have a full list below - and register that Pokmon as "seen" there and then.

Originally introduced in regular Pokmon Sun and Moon, Island Scan and QR codes are a simple way to acquire Pokmon in-game (especially if you're prone to Slaking, geddit?). They are different, albeit related, functions, so we'll explain them separately here:

The QR Scanner uses your 3DS's camera functionality to scan an actual, real-world QR Code. Every Pokmon available in the Alolan Pokdex has it's own QR code - you can access it yourself if you've caught the Pokmon by heading to it's page in the Pokdex and pressing X - and scanning a Pokmon's QR Code with the QR Scanner will add that Pokmon to your Pokdex as "seen".

With new Island Scan Pokmon available every day on each island, you should continue to scan QR codes and over the coming days - after all, it'll take some time to scan every QR code and catch every non-Alolan Pokmon before you have the complete set. Good luck!

There are several ways to see every QR code in Pokmon Ultra Sun and Moon's Alolan Pokdex. Note there are some notable exceptions - such as legendary or story-specific Pokmon - that won't be available for scanning. One example is the Magearna QR code and event, which we've detailed separately, but the vast majority of Legendary and Mythical Pokmon aren't available with QR codes at all.

Currently there isn't a regular list of images available (you may have seen some regular Sun and Moon QR codes lists doing the rounds, mistakenly labelled as Ultra Sun and Moon lists) but the following YouTube video from BeardBear features them all in sequence. If we find a static image version, we'll of course update this page.

Finally, note that the codes for regular Sun and Moon Pokmon will indeed work in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, but they of course won't include all the Pokmon added to the Ultra versions' Alolan Pokdex, like Zorua and Zoroark or Larvitar, Pupitar and Tyranitar.

For more on Pokmon Ultra Sun and Moon, head to our main Pokmon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon walkthrough and guide hub, which includes guides to new Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Pokmon and Pokdex changes, the Festival Plaza, a list of Global Missions and rewards, an explainer on Pokmon Bank, a dedicated page on Pokmon Competitive Training, including IV Training, EVs and hidden stats, Breeding 6IV Pokmon explained and how to farm Bottle Caps fast for Hyper Training. What's more, we have pages on the Rockruff event for getting Dusk Form Lycanroc and, last but not least, a full Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon QR codes list for adding all Pokmon to your Pokdex.

Shiny Gold Sigma and Ultra Shiny Gold Sigma are both fantastic games. These two versions are almost identical, but the ultra is the upgraded version with many new features. Luckily, the cheats listed below will work whatever version you have.

Note: Cheat codes below are thoroughly tested on My Boy GBA Emulator for Android. But the cheats could also work on any Game Boy Advance emulators that support GameShark codes such as John GBA, VBA, VBA-M, and GBA4iOS.

Hi the Mega Evolutions caugh trought cheat code turn back to normal after one battle. Is there a way for them to keep their Mega form even after a fight?

Also is it possible to get Black and White Kyurem in this game?

It's nothing like the good old days where you'd have to get up and go somewhere, lining up in the freezing cold outside a Toys R Us to have some Nintendo representative manually load a Mew onto your copy of Pokemon Blue... it's thankfully much, much easier now thanks to the 3DS System Camera and QR codes. So! Here's how you grab yourself Magearna.

Magearna was made available in Japan as part of Pokemon movie screenings, which meant that initially people had to see the movie to get their hands on it. In the West we're a little luckier: you can catch Magearna simply by scanning a QR code.

The QR code is attached to a free-to-watch Pokemon movie about Magearna that can be seen on the Pokemon website. The code pops up at the end of the movie, but if you don't want to worry about that we've included the QR codes for North America (left) and Europe (right) below. These codes work the same in both Pokemon Sun & Moon and Pokemon Ultra Sun & Moon.

You'll gain access to the QR code scanner fairly early in the game and we have a page up that describes that feature in detail, the things you can do with it, and QR codes for every single Pokemon in the game. That's handy - but things are different for Magearna.

Once you've done that, open the QR scanner in your second screen and scan the code from above that is for your region. You'll then need to head to Hau'oli City and find the antique shop there. After you've scanned the code, a delivery man NPC will hand over Magearna with very little ceremony in general.

The Pokemon Company has announced that you can get a number of special hats for Pikachu in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon. The company says that this is to celebrate the fact that Ash Ketchum and Pikachu have been traveling together for over 20 years in Pokemon the Series. To get these special hats you need to enter the codes below and the free offer ends on 30th of November. Here are those all-important codes:

Magearna was last year's Mythical Pokemon, a special kind of Pokemon that can't be caught in the wild or obtained via an in-game trade. Instead, the Pokemon Company gives these Mythical Pokemon away via special distributions or codes.

To help promote Pokemon Sun and Moon's new QR Scanning feature, the Pokemon Company distributed Magearna via a special QR code. Players could scan in the code and then pick up Magearna after they beat the game's Elite Four. Unlike most codes, the QR code didn't have an expiration date, so any player could get Magearna just for beating the game.

All you need to do is complete the main story by beating the Elite 4 and then scan one of the codes below into the QR Scanner. Then, you need to go to Hau'oli City and find the Antiquities of the Ages shop and talk to the deliveryman there. He'll give you Magearna, which is carrying a special Gold Bottle Cap that can be used to boost a Pokemon's IV stats.

Trainers who redeem the code from the ON THE GO NEWS stream will obtain an in-game badge. This badge will unlock Mini Collection Challenge: Nihilego*, which will challenge you to catch Nihilego and reward you with Nihilego Candy and progress on your Elite Collector Medal.

Ahead of Pokemon Sword and Shield's launch on Switch, The Pokemon Company is giving away a Shiny Solgaleo and Lunala for the Gen 7 Pokemon games. Beginning October 21, players in the US can receive a download code at participating GameStop stores using the Pokemon Pass mobile app. Those with a copy of Sun or Ultra Sun will receive Lunala, while Moon and Ultra Moon players will get Solgaleo. In addition to being Shiny, each Legendary comes at level 60.

Unlike most other gift Pokemon, the Mythical Steel/Fairy-type, Magearna, is not available through the Mystery Gift feature, but via a QR code, which is compatible with Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon. After defeating the Elite Four and completing the main story, you can use the QR Scanner to scan the code below. Once you've done that, visit the Antiques shop in Hau'oli City and pick your Magearna up from the deliveryman waiting there. 006ab0faaa
