‘Poetry Across Cultures India’ in collaboration with The Department of English, Soka Ikeda College for Arts and Science for Women, Chennai is organizing An evening of poetry “Ami Kobi”: Tagore and Switzerland, a multinational homage to the legend and Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore on his 164th birth anniversary that falls on the 9th of May. Bringing various national and international poets on a platform to commemorate Tagore’s contribution to peace across borders, the event, the fourth of a series called ‘Tagore and the World’, that would contribute to building peace and understanding across cultures. This is what Tagore took up as his life’s mission – he was the global ambassador of peace and harmony in his time.
The event upholds the motto 'One emotion: Plural expressions and languages' – the one emotion is love across geographical frontiers. Poetry enhances communication and helps remove dichotomies and differences between people and cultures, thereby helping in the much-cherished goal of peace-building. With this vision Poetry Across Cultures has joined hands with Soka Ikeda College Chennai, in nurturing peace in young minds. The upcoming Poetry Meet is scheduled for the 26th of April 2025 Saturday at 6 pm IST wherein Tagore’s poems from Gitanjali would be rendered and The Nobel Laureate’s connection with Switzerland highlighted.
Indian/Finnish Poetry(16th may,2007) in collaboration with the Embassy of Finland, Delhi at the Embassy Premises to express convergence of thoughts in the verse of poets from the two cultures.

On 5th December 2014, Dr. Rita Malhotra and student members of PAC and Expression, Kamala Nehru College were invited to an interactive session with Prof.Elena Jolanta Zabarskaite, Director of Lithuanian Language Institute (Lithuania) at the Lithuanian Embassy. The session was about the Lithuanian language,its origin, development and resemblance with Sanskrit language. The highlight of the afternoon was an interactive session with Prof. Elena and His Excellency, Ambassador of Lithuanian Embassy.This event was part of the Embassy initiatives to celebrate 300 year of the First Lithuanian Poet.
Expressions under the aegis of PAC organized two literary readings spread over two semesters during 2015-16 at Kamala Nehru College,University of Delhi on “The Poetry of Hungary” and “The Poetry of France” wherein students of the college read selected poems from the repertoire of Hugary and France resp. and participated in large nos. The latter was organized in collaboration with the French Information and Cultural Centre , Embassy of France, New Delhi.The former was graced by Prof Margit Koves of The University of Delhi and the latter by Dr Nicolas of FIRC.
“Poetry with a pulse” was a literary morning organized in collaboration with Expressions ,KNC on the 20th of March 2017 with award winning Hungarian poet Dr Gabor Lanczkor and Flautist Dr Krisztina Lanczkor at KNC.Dr Krisztina provided the musical rhythms.
