Shalala will be released at 6PM KST Monday 26th Feb. We would ideally like you to purchase on that evening, however, anyone from Australia who sends in their proof of purchase in the first 24 hours ( before 6PM KST Tuesday 27th February) will be eligible for refund.
Open up your iTunes app, on whichever device.
Click on TAP (the title track not the album), to buy this as a song. Complete the purchase. Take a screenshot to show you have purchased the song individually first.
(Optional Step). Click on Moon Tour to also buy this as a song. Complete the purchase.
This is optional, but due to collab/feature effects this song has a chance of charting separately, so if you do this, it will help!
Click on Complete My Album and complete the purchase. Take a screenshot.
If you have other accounts, switch accounts and repeat for every account. (We will only offer refunds for a maximum of four accounts and screenshots must show clearly that they are different accounts)
Email us the screenshots! They must show the separate transactions for TAP (the title track) as well as TAP the album
If you haven’t previously received a gift card, (or if for unexpected reasons a previously received gift card does not cover the purchase) we will send you a refund.
If you are not from Australia: the purchasing instructions above are what I recommend for most tyongfs who do not have a country rep. Unfortunately Pod of Sky Whales cannot directly fund international purchases - global funds are administered through TYP_stream.
Fanbases will be coordinating iTunes buying in order to chart on iTunes. Please follow guidance from your country fanbase or rep about specific goals, but in most regions the aim will be to:
Chart as high as possible on your country’s ITunes song chart and album chart on Day 1 of album release.
(In many countries, No 1 will be possible and overall we will be aiming to get as many No 1s as possible)
Chart as high as possible on the iTunes worldwide song chart and worldwide album chart on Day 1 of album release
How to get iTunes app:
if you have iPad or Iphone, the Itunes Store App will be on your device
If you have a Mac, the iTunes store is found on the Music app.
If you have Windows, you will need to download Itunes for Windows
Creating Apple IDs
You will need an Apple ID (account) to buy on iTunes. Apple IDs can be created using different devices:
Using iPad or iPhone
Using a Mac
Using iTunes for Windows app
On the Web at appleid.apple.com
Detailed instructions at the Apple Website: https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT204316

If you have funds for it (or can obtain funds from your local fanbase), you may wish to purchase on several accounts to maximize charting.
You can make multiple accounts per phone number, however if you are purchasing for some external charts, auditing may apply. (For Billboard charting, there are restrictions per IP and payment method, so please follow @LTYUSA’s instructions.)
Another option is to borrow your friends’ and family’s iTunes accounts.
**Do not gift a song on iTunes as it will not count to charts. You can, however, gift Apple gift cards (for people to purchase on their own accounts)**
Purchasing on iTunes to optimize charting.
There are usually two purchase strategies for an album.
**** This should be done on Day 1 of album release, unless your country rep advises otherwise****
STRATEGY 1:
Purchasing the title track on its own, as a song
(If there is a 2nd title track or promoted B-side) Purchase the 2nd title track on its own as a song.
Then click, ‘Complete My Album’ in order to purchase the album.
This allows for the title track to count to the song charts, and the album to the album charts.
STRATEGY 2:
Purchasing all individual tracks separately
This allows all B-sides to count separately to the song charts, but may also help for optimizing external album charts (e.g. Billboard in some cases)
PLEASE CONSULT YOUR COUNTRY REP FOR WHICH STRATEGY TO USE. If you do not have a country rep, use strategy 1 on Day 1 of album release.
For Apple Music users
IMPORTANT: If you purchase music on iTunes but later intend to stream on Apple Music, make sure that you have deleted the music from your downloads + turned off Automatic Downloads on your iOS device. Streams of any already downloaded songs will not count!
