Who are we?
The POD Network Adjunct/Part-time Faculty Special Interest Group exists for educational developers who support part-time or adjunct faculty. The SIG is dedicated to supporting educational developers (ED) who serve and support part-time and adjunct faculty. The POD Adjunct/Part-time SIG provides resources on
- effective strategies for orienting new adjunct and part-time faculty
- effective strategies for supporting and developing new adjunct and part-time faculty
- trends and issues relating to adjunct and part-time faculty
- developing POD conference proposal submissions relating to adjunct and part-time faculty
We do this by sharing information and resources, including stories of success and failure, best practices, and new developments.

The POD Adjunct/Part-time Faculty SIG aims to provide a space for educational developers to explore ideas, discuss issues, and creatively and collaboratively solve problems related to supporting part-time and adjunct faculty in higher education. We also research, publish, and present on topics related to adjunct and part-time faculty, their working conditions in academia, and their educational development needs.

The POD Adjunct/Part-time SIG will leverage technology and community wisdom to promote the visibility, circumstances, and needs of adjunct faculty in higher education and to provide guidance and resources to any person wishing to support this community of faculty.
