Point-based events(We're not really working on the other guides)
The World Scholar's Cup consists of multiple events, some point-based and some not. However, whether or not the event gives points shouldn't be regarded too much. One of the main aspects of the Scholar's Cup which sets it apart from its exam counterparts is the multitude of activities which includes meeting new people and making new friends as well as their focus on making the experience as engaging and fun as possible.
That being said, all of the events you will be a part of are going to be listed so you have an idea of what to expect as well as some tips to make your time there better. There are a total of four academic events and a couple more community-based events. It is important to note that there are a lot of other things to look forward to, such as exploring the local area(exquisite food!), meeting an alpaca (or two), watching the staff make fun of each other on stage, making friends with other scholars who share your passions, and the award ceremony! (Which is basically a roller coaster ride of adrenaline)
Event list(Those exclusive to Global rounds and ToC are underlined):
-Debate: Self explanatory, the longest event. Three rounds against other teams
-Writing: Teamwork makes the dream work! For about 35 minutes of the total 80.
-Challenge: An exam, but you can choose multiple answers for one question. Also nerve-wracking.
-Bowl: Jeapordy, but you already know the information about the trivia.
-(Un)Talent show: Talent show, with included untalentness as well.
-Debate showcase: Like debate, but with a stage with everyone looking at you.
-Scavenger Hunt: More of a "Run around and do random stuff" than an actual Scavenger hunt.
-Scholar's Ball: A dance where everyone dances awkwardly together and 10 year old songs play.
-Cultural Fair: Showing off your culture to the world, whether prepared or not.
-ToC exclusive: Painted Warrior! Meet the alpaca which isn't dead yet.
