Volunteer Training
After completing the BCPS Volunteer Training (see below), please visit the "How to Help" page to see our current volunteer needs.
BCPS VOLUNTEER TRAINING
If you would like to volunteer at PMS and/or PMS PTO sponsored activities and events this year, you need to apply to be a BCPS volunteer for the 2023/24 school year. Please visit Parkville Middle's Volunteers and Chaperones page and do the following:
1.) Complete the BCPS Volunteer Application. You can:
Fill out the form online and then print, sign, and date it,
or
Print out the blank form and fill it out by hand.
2.) Complete the online BCPS Volunteer Training, which is administered by Vector Solutions.
If you have an existing Vector username and password, please use them to log in.
If you do not, you can create a new account and proceed. After you complete the training, download and/or print a copy of your completion certificate.
3.) Make a copy of the completed application and training certificate, for your records.
4.) Put the original application and certificate in an envelope and address it to the school's Front Office, to the attention of the "BCPS Volunteer Coordinator". Have your student give it to their homeroom teacher to relay, or you can drop it off.
5.) Send the PTO an e-mail. Let us know that you have completed the application and online training, and have sent the paperwork to the school. You do not need to send us a separate copy of the paperwork.
Notes:
The BCPS application and training must be completed each school year that you want to volunteer.
If you have a Vector account but do not remember the log-in information, please contact the school for assistance.
If you have already submitted a 2023/24 application and certificate to another BCPS school, ask them to fax your paperwork to 443-809-5315 so that Parkville Middle knows you have been trained. Or, if you have a copy of your paperwork, you can make another copy and send it to PMS.
