NATIONAL MEANS CUM MERIT SCHOLARSHIP (NMMS)
Guidelines
The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) 2025 provides an annual scholarship of ₹12,000 (₹1,000 per month) to100,000 meritorious students from economically weaker sections (income < ₹3.5 lakh/year) in Class 9-12. Eligible students must be in Government, Local Body, or Govt-aided schools, having passed Class 7 with 55% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST).
Key 2025 Guidelines & Eligibility
Target Group: Students currently studying in Class VIII.
Academic Criteria: Minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in Class VII (50% for SC/ST/Disabled).
Income Limit: Parental income from all sources must not exceed ₹3,50,000 per annum.
School Type: Must be enrolled in Government, Government-aided, or local body schools. Students in Navodaya Vidyalaya (NVS), Kendriya Vidyalaya (KVS), Sainik Schools, or private schools are not eligible.
Application Process: Applications are generally submitted online via the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) or state-specific portals.
Examination Pattern (State Level)
The selection test comprises two, 90-minute papers held by state authorities (usually between Nov 2025 - Feb 2026):
Mental Ability Test (MAT): 90 multiple-choice questions on reasoning, analogy, classification, series, pattern perception, etc..
Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT): 90 multiple-choice questions covering Science, Social Science, and Mathematics of Class VII & VIII levels.
Minimum Qualifying Marks
General: Minimum 40% in each paper (MAT+SAT).
SC/ST: Minimum 32% in each paper.
Scholarship Continuation Criteria
To continue receiving the scholarship in classes X and XII, students must:
Clear promotion from class IX to X and XI to XII in the first attempt.
Secure at least 55% marks in class X (50% for SC/ST).
Maintain good conduct and continue studies in a government/aided school.

SWAMI VIVEKANAND UTKRISHT CHHATARVRITI YOJANA
Guidelines
The Swami Vivekanand Utkrisht Chhatravriti Yojana is a Himachal Pradesh government initiative providing ₹10,000–₹18,000 per annum for two years to the top 2,000 meritorious General category students (Class 10 pass) pursuing higher studies. Applicants must be HP residents, enrolled in class 11 or professional courses. Application is through NSP.
Key Guidelines & Eligibility Criteria
Target Group: Students belonging to the General Category who have passed their matriculation examination from the HP Board.
Merit Basis: Only the top 2,000 meritorious students are selected.
Academic Requirement: Must be pursuing studies in Class 11, 12, or recognized professional/technical courses in India.
Domicile: Must be a permanent resident of Himachal Pradesh.
Financial Benefit: Selected students receive ₹10,000–₹18,000 per annum for two years.
Exclusion: Students receiving other scholarships are generally ineligible.

DR. AMBEDKAR MEDHAVI CHATARVRITI YOJANA
Guidelines
The Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana in Himachal Pradesh provides ₹18,000 per year for two consecutive years to 1,250 meritorious Scheduled Caste (SC) and 1,000 Other Backward Classes (OBC) students who secured 72% or higher in their 10th-grade exams, aiming to support their +1 and +2 education. Guidelines
The Thakur Sen Negi Utkrisht Chatravriti Yojana 2025 is a Himachal Pradesh government scheme for meritorious Scheduled Tribe (ST) students, offering ₹11,000 per annum for two years (Class 11-12) or during technical/professional courses. It supports the top 100 boys and top 100 girls based on HP Board Class 10 results.
