Becoming a PMRF scholar
Here is a FAQ document that was created for the 2020 season (the first one). Read it. Digest it. Introspect. Some changes may come in based on the feedback received in the round that happened.
Very important note: No email will be answered. Post all queries in a form that will be made available. You are welcome to study the questions that were asked in 2020 and the answers.
But how to ask questions? (This facility will open up only when required; at all other times, students are urged to talk to their seniors or mine answers on the Piazza forum. Moving forward, it is your responsibility to check updates on this page. Email, needless to say, will not be entertained.
All applicants must include the PhD offer letter if not already done in the same place where the rest of the documents are present. (All means “all” -- lateral, or direct -- and documentation that applies to your admission in 2019/2018, or M.Sc, M.Tech, Dual, PhD, conversion, whatever, we need this.)
** UPDATE ON PMRF DEC 2021 ROUND ** : Please check with senior fellows for application process and deadlines and access to Piazza
** UPDATE ON PMRF DEC 2020 ROUND ** : Form for correction of Application
The form for correction of Application for Dec 2020 round is live now. Please use your IITB LDAP account to login to Google and access the form.
Deadline to fill the form - 6 PM, Feb 15, 2021
** UPDATE ON PMRF DEC 2020 ROUND ** : Preliminary Scan
A preliminary shortlisting of the 146 applications revealed a staggering majority who have (bluntly speaking) goofed up.
A form will be made available shortly to respond to the scan of your applications. A very short window will be made available for you to rectify (if that's possible).
Pay very careful attention to the instructions, the FAQ etc etc.. You will not be given any more chances.

Important Information
Eligibility note from New Delhi
Folks, I got this note
----------------
Thanks for sending the nominations. We suggest that you also get the
applications checked for eligibility. Sometimes departments (or faculty)
are not very careful in checking all the details of eligibility
criteria.
---------------
You (especially direct entry, but lateral too) should self-check your eligibility. It is inappropriate for you to even apply if you have not satisfied the eligibility conditions despite the enormous FAQ we posted (see bit.ly/pmrfiitbstatus and scroll down).
This will be a major problem if at the time of interview or award letter we find out you are ineligible and you may be tagged for disciplinary action. You will be, for example, be barred from applying again, at the very least. Your supervisor will also be intimated. I have not mentioned this part yet in my letter to your supervisor -- a copy of which you might have received.
It is still ok to withdraw at this stage, so if you have any doubts please feel free to send me a private note. Deadline: 24 hours.
So, as you guys write to me, please take necessary action :)
