Nathaniel Farny, viola

Nathaniel Farny is an active performer in many New England area groups, as well as a dedicated educator. He performs frequently with the Boston Symphony, Boston Pops, Boston Ballet, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, and Odyssey Opera. Nathaniel is a music faculty member on violin and viola at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School and School of Continuing Education, as well as the Cambridge School of Weston.

Nathaniel holds a Bachelor of Arts from Williams College, a Master of Music in violin performance from Rice University, a Graduate Diploma in violin performance from the New England Conservatory, and a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Viola Performance from Boston University. His teachers include Kathleen Winkler, Michèle Auclair, Steven Ansell, and Martha Katz.
