Hope Mall is an open and permissionless network—but Hope Mall has a code of conduct for everyone that wants to use this app. You are always free to use another client.
Be respectful of others
Hope Mall is a public space and your actions affect everyone’s experience.
The content you post needs to be reviewed before it is recommended; otherwise, it will only be visible to yourself.
Don’t make other people’s experience worse by:
replying with unrelated or low effort content, examples:
consistently replying with short answers like “good”, “nice”, “cool bro”, “amazing”
posting off-topic in channels—be careful to observe what types of posts the channel has, examples of off-topic include:
price charts or general news in developer-oriented channels
general conversations in feeds (better to post this in the home feed)
Asking for people to follow you
Posting generic quotes unrelated to the channel
Don’t post offensive or NSFW content (as this violates the App Store rules).
Use your own identity
People come to Hope Mall to have genuine conversations on the internet.
Don’t use someone else’s identity in a misleading way (e.g a company’s logo or another person’s photo).
If you keep breaking these rules Hope Mall may take actions to protect the experience of other users, including deprioritizing you in search and recommendations, hiding your replies and posts in channels.
