System Modifiers
Aerotien/genic
alters that are directly related to the environment around them (including nature)
system members that form due to weather conditions or environmental conditions (e.g. thunderstorms cause large eruptions of new alters forming from others)
Alder System
A system where everyone gets older every year, not on the body’s birthday. Though, one or a couple members could happen to get older then since everyone may get older on different days. Again, they all don’t have to look older every year, just identify as a year older. Though, they could all look older.
Synonyms: Uzee System, Età System, and Aldur System.

Aquatien
A system that is stagnant like a shallow pool of water, yet, like that pool of water, still grows

Bombo / Bombotien
a synonym for a pyro system
system member count explodes rapidly, or
a system that fuses older alters (not permanently) to form newer ones, which are, in turn, fragmented again
Centre System
A term for the “main system” in any given polyplex. This could mean anything from the biggest system out of the polyplex, to the most active, or the most front accessible. System members from the centre system will be more often the ones fronting to control the body at any given time.
Centumplex
A system with a) one hundred+ subsystems and at least one sidesystem, b) one hundred+ sidesystems and at least one subsystem, or c) all of the above (one hundred+ subsystems and one hundred+ sidesystems).
Cryotien/genic
a synonym for quoigenic, where it seemingly comes out of nowhere, or like its coming from the “cold”
a system that seems to have frozen before (dormancy) and is now “thawing” (multiple alters) or vice versa
a system that flows between the above definition consistently due to things such as trauma or neurodivergence
a system that feels like it goes dormant in certain “seasons” or periods experienced by the body
etc
The first flag is the general cyrogenic flag; the second (pink-blue) is for when the system is “thawing”; the third flag (blue-grey) is when the system is going into dormancy.
DID
A disorder characterized by having distinct headmates and amnesia
Dreagenic
A system type for when your sleeping dreams affect your plurality in some way. This could be by causing system members based on dreams, dreams showing you more of your headspace, or any other effects.
Dreamway
A dreamway system is like a gateway system, but the worlds you can access are your daydreams/paracosms
Exosystem
A dreamway system is like a gateway system, but the worlds you can access are your daydreams/paracosms

Factive-Heavy
Describing a system with a high number of factives, or headmates based on non-fictional sources. Also includes f*ctives, or headmates that toe the line between factive and fictive
Fictive-Heavy
Describing a system with a high number of fictives, or headmates based on fictional sources. Includes OC fictives, non-canon fictives, and anyone else that falls under the fictives umbrella
Fluitien
A system without a consistent member count, or a member count that changes frequently.
Gateway
Describing a system that has gateways to separate worlds in it. They may be able to travel felt freely between here and the worlds within those gateways, or they may be one-way in either direction. This is not necessarily a type of origin, though it is strongly related to spiritual systems
Infinitumplex
A system whose subsystems and sidesystems are hard to count and keep track of due to: either constantly changing between one thousand+ members and/or due to the constant, rapid growth of the system.
Synonyms: Infiniteplex.
Introject-Heavy
Describing a system that has many introjects, or people from outside sources. This includes fictives, factives, and f*ctives
Layers
A separate plane/area of headspace, which tends to affect communication and in-sys travel. Often associated with polyfragmented systems/structure
Masked
A system that acts or is covert. It is difficult to distinguish the fronters of a masked system unless they explicitly tell you because of the “mask”. (The 🎭 emoji can be used to indicate that someone is a masked system.)
Median
Describing a system with headmates that are non-distinct; in most cases, this means that headmates have the same core identity while being slightly different- eg: “I’m [host] but more protective.” Also called mid-continuum in older communities
Mesosian
Medians who are in or around the middle of the spectrum.
Mixedflux
A system that fluctuates between median and multiple; a system where all or most headmates have a constant unsteady/fluid identity, and/or headmates constantly blur, fuse, etc and un blur, fuse, etc.
Multiple
Describing a system whose headmates are distinct from each other. In some cases this may go hand in hand with certain communication or memory problems, but this isn’t always the case
Multiplex
A system with a) ten+ subsystems and at least one sidesystem, b) a system with ten+ sidesystems and at least one subsystem, or c) all of the above (ten+ subsystems and ten+ sideystems).
Kinegenic System
A system where the front changes often, to the point of multiple headmates fronting a day, not all at the same time.
Orbit System
has a central body in which alters revolve in cycles
alters are set to a certain time of day when they front or
alters front only rarely, and wait for all other system mates to front before fronting again
Origin-flux
The original way the system was formed differs from the way the majority of currently present headmates have formed since the system's assumed origin.
OSDD-1a
subtype of OSDD-1 which is characterized by having non-distinct headmates (often while still having amnesia)
OSDD-1b
A subtype of OSDD-1 that is characterized by having distinct headmates with no amnesia
Parasian
Medians who are closer to the singlet side of the spectrum.
Phytotien/genic
constantly divides other system members up, and fuses them back together after a while, or
constantly divides in general
Polyfragmented
Describing a system often with 100 headmates or more. These types of systems are also known for having multiple subsystems (systems within systems) and layers (separate areas of the headspace/internal workings that tend to affect communication, in-sys travel, and other aspects of the system)
Polymedian/Polyfaceted
a system, usually 100+, that can have many layers and can cause a disrupt in communication but the system and all/most members are median
Polymultiple
a system, usually 100+, that can have many layers and can cause a disrupt in communication but the system and all/most members are fully multiple
Polyinfitus
A system with over five hundred members that may be constantly growing but doesn’t see much change in frequent fronters, role changes, etcetera. They don’t often see nearly as much of a problem in organisation as other, really large systems.
Synonyms: Polyinfinitus.
Polyinfinitum
A system with over five hundred members that is constantly growing and changing (sometimes maybe even shrinking a little). Frequent fronters are often hard to come by and organisation may be very difficult.
Synonyms: Polyinfitum.
Polyplural
an overarching term for polyfrag, polymedian and polymuilple systems. Or just a system with 100+ members, usually with many layers that can cause a disrupt in communication
Pyrotien/Pyro System
a once small system of only a few headmates and a host that had a large influx of headmates enter into the headspace
a once large system of many headmates that lost a large portion of the alters to dormancy or something else
a system that has many alters that fluctuate in and out of dormancy or
a system that never has a stable amount of alters at one time
Quinplex
A system with a) fifty+ subsystems and at least one sidesystem, b) fifty+ sidesystems and at least one subsystem, or c) all of the above (fifty+ subsystems and fifty+ sidesystems).
Scribstrata
A layer in a polyfragmented system with a “plot” and “story” - members have roles that pertain to it. Similar to a daydream but it’s real system members.
Seeleplex
A Seelegenic system that has at least one sidesystem that has the same soul splitting mechanics as the main system.
Synonyms: Soulplex, Animaplex.
Side / Parallel System
A term similar to subsystem, a sidesystem is a separate system standing metaphorically “to the side” or “next to” a main system. A sidesystem is different from a subsystem in that, instead of being stacked or being a system within a system, a sidesystem is its own completely separate system alongside the existing main system. Sidesystems often have their own “dimensions” of the headspace, and have their own system members.
Sidesystem coined by Wandering Worlds, Parallel System coined by the Universal Studios
Symnesia
The sharing of memories between two or more system members.
Coined by the Curiosity Centre
Växer System
A system where all the headmates grow older each year as the body grows a year older.
Synonyms: Grandir System, Lumaki System, Kukua System.
