Ackili

Refers to a headmate who just *IS* a character, animal, object, etc but not to do with being an introject. Tied to psychological beliefs. Used in place of “psychological kin.”

Usage: I am (a) Ackili. My Ackili (in place of psychological kin) timelines are deep.

Alder(s)

A systemmate or systemmates who get older every year, not on the body’s birthday. If multiple systemmates do, they would likely get older on different days than each other but don’t have to. Over time, the systemmate or systemmates could look older in headspace, but don’t have to. What’s most important is they identify as a year older, every year.

Synonyms: Uzee, Età, and Aldur.

Blanket Self

The identity everyone in a median system is a part of (ex. Many medians see themselves as multiple faces of one person, this is that person).

Caraa

Referring to a headmate who relates to or identifies with/as a character, place, person, etc to cope with something(s). Uses in place of “copinglink.”

Usage: I have Caraas (in place of copinglinks). My Caraa memories may be few, but they are important. X character is a Caraa for me

Echo

Parts of memories, thoughts, feelings, etc shared with another system member or members. This can be done on purpose or on accident, depending on how the system functions.

Extranthrope

noun; A nonhuman member in a multiple system. Coined with those in mind who are nonhuman but don’t identify as otherkin and want to be more specific in the origin of their nonhumanity; compare to fictive and factive. Can be shortened to “extranth.” Usage examples: “I’m an extranthrope”; “I’m an extranth”; “I’m an extranthropic angel”; “I’m an angel extranthrope/extranth.”

(from the word “fable”); a fictional identity facet in a median system, who has experiences and feelings in common with both fictives and fictionkin in a way that makes them feel positioned somewhere between or adjacent to the two

Iterive

A system member whose age is static or remains unchanging for a long period of time. Can be used as both a noun and an adjective.

Kindred Soul

Referring to a headmate who identifies with/as a character, person, animal, etc but not 100% / not introjected from them. Used in place of “kin,” “other hearted,” etc. Synonyms: Yamaa.

Usage: I am (a) Kindred Soul/Yamaa. My Kindred Souls/Yamaas (in place of kins) are all spiritual.

Lone Wolf

A headmate that sticks to themself. They may or may not be close with only a select number of system members or they may be close with most everyone in the system. However, they don’t tend to front much and don’t like interacting internally or externally in big groups. When they do front, they often like to do so alone (not co-fronting) and don’t engage externally with many people unless necessary. Just because they like to be alone, though, doesn’t mean they can’t contribute to the system or that they don’t have a lot to contribute.

Lost Adults

System members who look like adults and identify with older ages but mentally think more like children. They’re more rooted in self, more simplistic in thinking, possibly don’t have the same info as the others, can’t really do maths or writing, any number of things together that would make them “Lost Adults”.

Multi-Identity

Having multiple identities at once; unlike being a Median System, they are all you at once instead of multiple facets.

Now-PC

A previously-NPC that’s now a person in the system. Someone who had previously been filler in your system, and now is an actual sentient person in system.

Parethnic

“The state in which the pluran is ethnically different from the body the pluran inhabits.”

Example: “Leliel is a parethnic Japanese person.”

A term coined to acknowledge that the pluran still has white privilege (if applicable) and should not invade the spaces of BIPOC the body does not belong to, while also acknowledging the pluran’s internal identity and the potential importance of said identity

Noun; A demonym for an individual person in a plural system. (Alternative to headmate/alter/etc)

Previvmate

A system member who knew at least one other system member in a past life, and have ended up in the same body in this life. May have been there from birth, or may have joined later, and may or may not have shared a body in their previous life as well. -Mate can also be replaced with -tive or -genic to fit the system/system member better.

Recollection

Whole memories, thoughts, feelings, etc shared with another system member or members. This can be done purpose or on accident, depending on how the system functions.

Refers to the spiritual beliefs that a headmate’s soul has been misplaced or exists in two places at once. Used in place of “spiritual kin.”

Referring to a headmate who heavily relates to a character. Used in place of “synpath.”

Term used for system mates who are tired all the time, or formed to make sure the body gets rest.

People that come into system permanently, similar to gateway.

Soul or entity in your system. Used/sometimes means a fictive you have bounded yourself to.

A term for kids/littles in systems

A headmate that is unable to move, front or interact with the innerworld for whatever reason, but they are still considered a member of the system

Växer

A headmate or headmates that grow up with the body. So, every year on the body’s birthday, the headmate or headmates grow a year older as well. Synonyms: Grandir, Lumaki, Kukua.

Walk-ins

A system member who simply shows up in the system out of the blue, fully-formed. Can be fictive, factive, or neither.

Zamaní

Refers to the past lives that a headmate can recall. Used in place of “past life kin.”

Usage: I am (a) Zamaní. I remember my Zamaní (in place of past life kin) timelines very well.
