Why Slack?

We decided from the very beginning that we wanted to create an online community where educators could discuss important topics before, during and after the conference. We settled on Slack. If you haven't heard of it, Slack is a collaborative platform used by many Fortune 500 Companies when they need to get things done. We just don't see it being used much in education, and that's a shame.

If you're not familiar with Slack, no worries. We'll be holding some training sessions during the conference in August to get you up to speed with all that the program can do. The main window in Slack is a familiar social media news feed conversation. You can also directly add files by URL, upload or Google Drive, and you can keep the conversation organized with threads and channels.

And, it's fairly intuitive to use. Why not get started? Use the button above to join our conversation on Slack, or to find out more about Slack in general, just go to www.slack.com
