The Prior Lake Savage Area Schools Spanish Immersion Education Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2023 by a group of parents, educators, and community members passionate about immersion education. Our mission is to promote and provide financial support to the Spanish language immersion programs at PLSAS.
Through community donations and fundraising, we aim to enhance existing immersion programs and expand opportunities for students. The funds we raise provide immersion classrooms with supplemental teaching materials, assist with hiring bilingual paraprofessionals and interns, offer professional development for immersion teachers, and organize cultural experiences and events for immersion families.
Our all-volunteer board works closely with the district’s immersion teachers and administrators to identify needs and fund initiatives that will enrich Spanish language instruction. We believe that immersion programs offer cognitive, academic, and cultural benefits that serve students throughout their educational journeys and lives.
