This is the dispatcher workstation where you'll spend all of your time when on duty as a dispatcher. Upon joining the job you will need to make your way down to the dispatcher control room.
The control room can be located by going down the PD stairwell to the jail cells and entering the second door on the stairwell. The door have a lock so only dispatchers and Corporal+ can unlock it.
Upon arriving at your control room you should first decide which workstation you are going to use, once you have chosen the station go ahead and take a seat in one of the chairs provided. In the room there is a locker where you can access food and water etc.
Once you have taken a seat at your desired workstation the following control screen will appear. This will be your main area of operations, almost entirely what you will be doing will be on this control screen. You must learn every possible action within this screen and familiarize yourself to it.
By right-clicking on the map and press "create new incident here", you can make new incidents and assign units to them. And remember to edit the incidents to keep them updated.
On the screen you can see where the officers are, where their vehicles is and even what type of gear they have equipped .
When pressing on a unit you can "Ping" them, to attract the attention of officers that aren't responding because their radio is muted.
When you're seated you can press the "CCTV Camera" button OR click the camera buttons around the map to get up the CCTV of your choice.
Here you can zoom in and move around the camera to collect more information about situations like raids or robberies to help the Officers to take down the suspects.
You can also take photos with the camera, which will save as a screenshot. It is worth mentioning that the CCTV camera will flash and make a clicking sound for the people on the other side.
When looking at your dispatcher control panel you will see a series of three tabs located to the right-hand side of your panel displaying the following:
“Overview” and “Units” As well as a visual representation of government units and their vehicle icons which can be seen on the control panel.
To the right of the control panel will be the overview section. From here you can view all government employees currently in service. Upon clicking on one of the government jobs, more information will appear such as the people who are currently in service (within that occupation). On this section you can assign people to incidents and assign them to units, however, this is much more time-efficient and easier to do on the unit section.
Located here is all the information on the government employees that are currently in service. Within this panel you can go into depth with your resources as in, you can assign them to specific units, as well as setting patrol areas. On this screen, you can also assign units to incidents. You will constantly be assigning people to units and incidents via this section, so it's good practice to keep this tab open.
Units are for you and other dispatchers to ensure you being able to understand what resources are at hand. To ensure a universal understandable unit system, the following callsigns should be used where possible:
When an incident is created (by simply right-clicking on the map and pressing "create new incident here"), the created incident report will appear at the top left of your control panel. Once you click on the incident report it will expand, allowing you to edit the information's and assign units to it.
Make sure to keep active incidents updated if you retrieve more information to assist the assigned units.
