Plot Twist Book Club

Plot Twist Book Club sets out to revolutionize how Gen Z engages with literature, community, and social impact. Drawing inspiration from the re-ignited interest in reading among Gen Z and the success of online book communities like BookTok and BookTube, this project aims to create a dynamic space where Gen Z readers can connect with each other, exercise their reading, and have opportunities to contribute to the community. Plot Twist Book Club includes a thriller-focused booklist for the year, a Discord (online group) community, a website, and hybrid monthly meetings. 

We believe that community is the most important aspect of having a book club (other than the books of course). That's why we strive to create an engaging, safe, and comfortable environment for members to connect. Through our Discord platform, members are able to communicate outside of our monthly meetings, fostering a book club that is not only about the books but also about creating a family.   

Plot Twist Book Club is tailored for and caters specifically to Gen Z readers. Additionally, it is themed as a Thriller/Mystery Book Club, so it is fit for those who are looking to read more Thrillers/Mysteries – however, the booklist is made to be easily digestible with palette cleansers in between, therefore lovers of all genres can join too.
